What does “verified power performance” mean?
It means the charger, cable, or battery delivers the voltage, current, and wattage it claims, consistently and safely, under real-world load. DPS prioritizes products that meet published electrical specs, not just marketing claims.
Are all chargers with the same wattage interchangeable?
No. Wattage alone is not enough. Voltage profiles, connector type, charging protocol (USB-PD, QC, proprietary standards), and device negotiation all matter. Using the wrong charger can cause slow charging, overheating, or failure to charge.
Why does my device charge slowly with some “fast chargers”?
Fast charging only works if both the charger and cable support the same protocol as your device. A high-watt charger paired with a low-rated cable or incompatible protocol will fall back to slower speeds.
Is it safe to use third-party chargers and cables?
Yes, if they meet proper electrical standards. Poorly built or counterfeit accessories often lack regulation, protection circuitry, or accurate labeling. DPS focuses on compatibility and electrical correctness, not just price or branding.
What is USB Power Delivery (USB-PD)?
USB-PD is a charging standard that allows devices and chargers to negotiate voltage and current dynamically. It enables higher power delivery, faster charging, and safer operation, especially for laptops and tablets.
Does USB-C always mean fast charging?
No. USB-C refers to the connector shape, not the charging capability. Speed depends on the cable rating, charger output, and whether USB-PD or another fast-charge protocol is supported.
